Walk gates provide pedestrian access; manual double-swing gates can accommodate a wider opening where the layout allows. Gate size, framing, hardware, supporting posts, and available clearance are reviewed together. TrueSet does not offer automatic gate operators or powered access-control systems.
Walk gates for everyday access
Identify the route you use, the clear opening needed, and which way the gate should swing. The layout should consider nearby structures and the fence it attaches to. Material and style can be coordinated with wood privacy or ornamental iron fencing, subject to the property requirements.
Manual double-swing gates
A wider opening needs more than a wider panel. Share what needs to pass through, the desired opening, and photographs showing the ground and swing area. Supporting posts, frame, hardware, and how the gate closes need a project-specific review. The driveway-gate portion of the estimator is reviewed manually rather than guaranteed by an automatic price.
Review dragging, sagging, and latch problems
Describe whether the gate drags on the ground, misses the latch, or has damaged hinges or framing. Include the supporting posts and adjacent fence in the photographs. The review should distinguish hardware adjustments from a support or structural problem; replacing one part does not necessarily resolve the cause.
Include gates in the replacement plan
When replacing a fence, decide which gates stay, which are replaced, and whether the opening or location changes. Confirm removal, new supports, finish, and the connection to the new fence in the proposal. A pool-barrier gate needs review of the applicable safety requirements; ordinary gate hardware should not be assumed sufficient.

Does TrueSet install automatic gates?
No. This service covers manual walk gates and double-swing gates. Automatic operators, powered gate systems, and electronic access control are not offered.
Can I add a manual gate without replacing the whole fence?
That can be reviewed if the existing fence, posts, and layout are suitable. Send the proposed location, approximate opening, and photos so the support and connection requirements can be assessed.
How wide can my double gate be?
The available opening, intended use, support, material, and swing space determine the design. We do not promise a universal maximum or a particular opening before reviewing the property.
Can a dragging gate be repaired instead of replaced?
Possibly. The cause may be hardware, alignment, the frame, or its supports. A repair recommendation requires reviewing the gate and adjacent structure rather than assuming a hinge adjustment will solve it.
Is a manual gate covered by the online fence estimate?
Some walking-gate options are included in the fence-planning calculator. Drive gates and specialty work require manual review. Confirm the final gate specification and price in the written proposal.
