Fence Repair in North Texas

A damaged section does not automatically mean replacing the whole fence. Tell TrueSet what has failed, show us the surrounding structure, and we will review whether a targeted repair or a larger replacement makes sense.

Scope first

Start with the cause—not just the broken board.

TrueSet accepts requests for fence sections, posts, gates, and other repairs. Repair pricing needs a review of the damage and the remaining fence; the online request collects details and photos rather than promising an instant repair quote.

Leaning sections and failing posts

Describe which part moves, when you noticed it, and whether a gate or adjoining run is affected. Take photos from a safe position and do not pull on an unstable fence to demonstrate the problem. Replacing pickets alone may leave the support problem unresolved; the review needs to include posts, connections, and surrounding sections.

Damaged pickets and rails

Isolated damage may be a different job from deterioration across several runs. Include a close-up and a wider view so we can see how the affected pieces connect to the fence. Let us know whether appearance matching is important, including the current material, height, and finish. New material may not match weathered wood exactly.

Dragging or damaged manual gates

A gate problem may involve hinges, latches, bracing, the frame, or the supporting posts. Tell us what happens when you open and close it, without forcing an unsafe gate. A hardware-only repair cannot be promised before the support and alignment have been reviewed. Powered operators and automatic gate systems are not offered.

When replacement may be the better scope

If the remaining fence cannot support a sound repair, a larger replacement may be worth comparing. Ask the proposal to distinguish what stays, what is removed, disposal, new construction, and gates. Staining is a finish treatment and should not be used to describe a structural repair.

What to Send with Your Request

  • Project address and approximate length of the affected section.
  • A wide photo of the run, close-ups of the damage, and views of supporting posts and gates.
  • Fence material, height, access constraints, and what you want to keep.
  • Any known permit or HOA requirements and previous repairs that could affect review.

Use photos taken from a safe location. Do not climb on, pull, or force a damaged fence or gate. A submitted request is not approval to proceed with construction. Confirm permit and HOA requirements for the property.

Questions before you start

Fence Repair Questions

Can TrueSet repair only one part of my fence?

A localized repair can be considered when the remaining fence and connections are suitable. We need to review the affected components and surrounding structure before confirming what can stay.

Will the online calculator give me a final repair price?

No. The repair branch collects project details and optional photos for review. Repairs are not quoted from a guaranteed flat rate, and the scope must be confirmed before a final proposal.

Does a fence repair require a permit?

It depends on the city and scope. Repair length, post work, changes in height or material, and prior repairs can matter. Check the applicable city resource and confirm the project with the permitting authority.

Can you fix a gate that drags or will not latch?

Send photos of the gate, posts, hinges, and latch with a description of the problem. We review manual gate work; whether it needs adjustment, hardware, structural repair, or replacement depends on its condition.

Will repaired sections match the existing wood exactly?

An exact visual match cannot be assumed when new material meets weathered fencing. Discuss material, style, and finish expectations before accepting a scope, including whether broader staining is appropriate.
